Three Clinics. Three Communities. Three Weeks. One Clear Vision.
The Ministry of Health & Wellness continues to advance its mission of delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare across New Providence. In just three weeks, three key community health facilities have seen major progress—each representing a vital step toward a healthier, more resilient Bahamas.
After being closed for four years, the Baillou Hill Road Community Clinic has officially reopened. Residents now benefit from a refreshed, welcoming facility that brings essential healthcare services closer to home.
This facility has undergone a full renovation and a 7,200 sq. ft. expansion, now equipped with a pharmacy, laboratory, dental, and diagnostic services. The upgraded clinic significantly improves the speed and quality of care for residents in the area.
The Ministry has broken ground on this upcoming health centre, which will provide urgent and specialty care to the Central New Providence community. It replaces the previous Coconut Grove Clinic that was lost during Hurricane Matthew in 2016.
