The Ministry of Health & Wellness is advancing its commitment to equitable, high-quality healthcare with the deployment of 14 high-frequency digital X-ray machines and 11 laboratory devices across public health clinics in The Bahamas.
This significant expansion enhances access to critical diagnostic services—particularly for residents on the Family Islands—by reducing the need to travel for routine imaging and basic laboratory tests.

The rollout is also supported by the Information Systems for Health (IS4H) initiative, enabling greater connectivity between healthcare facilities. Through IS4H, diagnostic results and patient data can be accessed more efficiently, contributing to a more integrated national healthcare system.
